remember when i said i would create some drawing tutorials for you?? i meant to say i would find some drawing tutorials for you. mainly because i'm very lazy and am, by no means, a professional. so to start you off i will be embedding various time-lapse (it's played at a faster speed than it was shot) videos of people drawing manga/anime. these will be for you to compare your current work to. there's no right or wrong way to draw really, but you can get a general feel for where facial features should usually be placed, proportions, and facial shapes. also, if you happen to have some mangas laying around (or you have internet access and are allowed to use it), those would also be swell for comparison and looking at different styles, and really if you just use guidelines (i hate guidelines, but if i had used them starting out i wouldn't have the bad habits i have now) you should be able to easily create your own characters and stuff.

oh....how long's it been?

i know, i know, i know, i know, i'm sorry, i'm sorry, i'm sorry!!! D:   i'm probably the worst blogger in the whole entire world......i apologize.....i have been brainstorming about those tutorials for when i start them up in july though :)) i'm thinking of just starting with a really basic one, just kind of going over supplies and some things that most people seem to do when they start out drawing and how you can kinda fix it up a little bit :3 i'll probably have links to other videos to. because, you know, i'm not an expert for sure :)) and then you won't have to look all over the place for other videos :) but anyways......just thought i'd let you know i haven't completely forgotten i actually have a blog ^_^'

      i know, i know. some (probably most) of you don't really enjoy valentine's day. but i'm going to give you my thoughts on valentine's day.
      i think, valentine's day shouldn't just be something you spend all your money and time on a single person. you might love that person immensely, but there's other people you love, right? (like family, or friends) who might not have a person to spend all day with on valentine's day. or they do, but you can still be nice :3 i'm not saying it isn't a good time to chill with that certain person, because it is :)) but get up a little bit earlier than usual and make some cookies for your family or something, SPREAD THE LOOOOVVVEEE!!!  there's a lot of it floating around :))
     
of course, valentine's day wasn't originally a romantic holiday. Have you ever heard anyone call it St. Valentine's day? i think i might've but, anyways, if you have there's a reason for it :))
      originally, valentine's day was created to commemorate the death and/or burial of St. Valentine. who was, a pretty romantic guy. But this is just what some people claim. other's say it was the christian church trying to "christianise" the pagan celebration of lupercalia, a fertility festival dedicated to faunus, the roman god of agriculture. This holiday survived until it was outlawed and deemed un-christian around the end of the 5th century, which is around the time Pope Gelasius declared february 14th St. Valentine's day.
      It wasn't until much later, that it became definitely associated with love. During the middle ages, it was commonly believed in France and England that february 14th was the beginning of bird's mating season. this added to the idea that it should be a day for romance.
     
       It wasn't until 17th century that valentine's day was popularly celebrated. and around the 18th century, it became common for friends and lovers of all social classes to exchange small tokens of affection or handwritten notes.

there you go. a little bit of history you probably weren't planning on seeing here...........just so you know, i didn't take a whooole lot of time researching this, but i got my knowledge off of history.com so i felt like i could trust it. have a nice day guys, even though it's almost over because this was kind of a last minute thing :3

ah....money.......

last year (i'm pretty sure it was last year in december or something) i found out they'd created a white ipod touch. so i started saving my money. so far i've bought a $40 coat and pair of $34 shoes (compared to the original price of $65). honestly...if i weren't trying to dave money i probably wouldn't be nearly as tempted to buy things as i am right now. to try to keep myself distracted, i've been working harder on my piano, and i got a manga comic out of my brother's room and i'm going to try drawing some scenes out of that, and i picked up crochet again, and i've been playing a lot of video games (not that i don't already do that), and taking more pictures.
     
     i'm rather glad i've been having trouble saving my money though....i think that and pinterest have gotten me to start back up into DIYing and stuff, which is a good thing :3. i hope to become good enough at various crafts to create/learn the following objects/songs:
      ~~ear cuffs (slightly more complicated ones)
      ~~slouchy beanies :3
      ~~amigurumi stuff :))
      ~~a ravenclaw scarf maybe.....
      ~~dearly beloved
      ~~bennie and the jets
      ~~hyrule field theme from LOZTP
      ~~some creepy song

     anybody doing anything for valentine's day??? i don't think i am, i like not doing stuff :)) sometimes.....it's extremely complicated.

hello! it's been absolutely forever-ish since i've been on here! amazing enough though, i do so little that you didn't miss out on too much so i can easily update  you guys in a few sentences :)
     i joined pinterest, the people there have inspired me and shown me many cool things i will probably by copying :3
     i've continued to have....unique....yes, unique, conversations with my friends. usually out of doors so people don't lock us up in a mental facility :3
     this one's kinda old, but i don't believe i've ever told any of you i've had a growing love for old things. and steampunk. (old things includes music)
     i started writing with a double pencil (two pencils taped/glued/rubber-banded together)

there you go. my life in a nutshell. just kidding.
